Energy Management: Take Control of Your Consumption

Achieving Energy Efficiency is about monitoring and control.

To make better decisions, you must first be equipped with the data that you need.

iSense brings you its telemetry technology that measures your electricity consumption. Not only can it measure electricity consumption but also water pressure, humidity, temperature, and other applications crucial to managing your energy systems.

It can show which of your appliances are consuming the most. It can also be set up so you can see which floor, room, or area is consuming the most energy.

iSense then lets you control your devices/appliances remotely, switching on and off, turning up or down, as necessary, wherever you are.

iSense gives you real-time data and gives you the tools to take action.

It is a full package that can be used to achieve sustainable and more efficient utility systems through its measurement, analytics, and control functions.

Who faces this problem?

Business owners especially those that deal with utilities and households who want to better understand their utility bills and gain better control of it.

How does your idea address this problem?

Businesses need to monitor their usage to detect unnecessary wastage and expenses. With their number and size of equipment used, a proper monitoring and control system is needed to manage all of it.

Households will also benefit from measurement and control, and knowing their real-time consumption to predict their costs. They will also be able to switch their devices on or off even when they're not home.

What’s new and unique about your idea?

It is flexible as the system can come in its basic form and also be expanded to fit the needs of the customer. It is expandable both in capacity and in features. It is proudly Philippine-made and can be globally competitive.

How are you going to earn money?

Purchase fee model to both enterprise and consumers. Subscription model also applies for maintenance and support services.

Do you already have customers?

Yes. They have had significant savings from monitoring their usage. They're able to replace faulty equipment and appliances that consume energy more than it should. They also like that they can now control these even when they're away, giving them more peace of mind.

Who is in your team?

Ruperto Kapunan - Software engineer and entrepreneur with extensive experiences in utilities, transportation, logistics, and security.

Samantha Kapunan - Entrepreneur with experiences in transportation and marketing. Advocate of Sustainability.

Have you already founded/incorporated your company?

What is the intended positive impact on the environment and/or society of your venture?

Better monitoring and control for more sustainable energy systems.

How will the Fellowship Program enable you to achieve your ambitions?

Funding will help boost product improvement. The network it can provide will also help with more collaborations in the energy industry. The incubation will help further develop the idea, study which models are most effective, and market the product better.

Are you living in the Philippines?

I can see that this would generate a lot of interest for individual households and enterprises.

The first question that comes to mind is how the product would compare to general home control systems? Also, the range of support services - would it include (access to) products and resources to actually help save electricity - that could potentially be another revenue stream.

Good going guys.

I think this will do really well for large office locators. Or those that owner occupy buildings. Good luck!

There are 3 ideas here pretty much the same, using software and analytics to determine and track energy consumption. What makes your idea stand out above theirs is that you already are selling it, congrats.
